Issues Class offerings for Fall 2017

Issues Class will have a variety of offerings this fall. We will open with a 5-week series with Fr. Richard Rohr entitled Embracing an Alternative Orthodoxy. He explores the Christian faith through contemplation, mysticism, compassion, justice and centuries of Christian faith. It sounds formidable but is quite engaging. Then we will hear a presentation by Bishop Karen Oliveto on For the Living of These Days: Bishop Yvette Flunder's sermon at Riverside Church in NYC on Monuments to MovementsAlexie Torres-Fleming on Spiritual Life in Livable Community. We will then finish out the year with a 5-part series by Eric Elnes and Darkwood Brew entitled Into this World exploring how did an unlikely and hostile environment nurture an incarnation of peace and hope. We meet starting September 10 in the Albright (Art) Room downstairs at 8:45 am.
