Carolyn has been an organist and choir director for over 30 years. She started on this journey at the urging of her then minister at the New Berlin United Methodist Church, Bob Kolvik-Campbell, now district superintendent for this district (small world!) Carolyn's most recent position was as organist/choir director for the Sherburne United Church of Christ, but when the position of choir director at First UMC Oneonta opened, it was an opportunity she couldn't pass up.
Carolyn has also been a professor of business at both Morrisville State College and Hartwick College, teaching statistics (her favorite subject), marketing, and economics.
Carolyn's husband Larry has joined the choir as a tenor, so you will see him every week. Further, Carolyn and Larry have a large commercial blueberry farm in New Berlin. You can find their blueberries in season at Weaver's Farm Market in Morris under the name, Hunts Pond Farm.
Carolyn has five daughters and six grandchildren. You will see her daughter, Abbie, every week in church. Abbie is thrilled to be here and is particularly thrilled with the coffee hour!
